Lugano is best reached by train. Two hours from Zurich, just over one from Milan, and then a few minutes uphill until the whole gulf opens up beneath you.

Guests who arrive by train receive the value of their ticket as a credit to enjoy at the hotel: an extra treatment in our spa, dinner at the restaurant, an aperitivo on the terrace as the light shifts across the lake.
